What’s Div­ingList?
Div­ingList is a blog that posts “Hand-Picked” Scuba Div­ing Deals Daily. It started out as a sim­ple blog for a dive club and went sep­a­rate ways after a bit of a time-off.

The site works like any other blog (web log) out there — you see a post(s), you see links, and you see details. You also might see pic­tures once in a blue moon. Some times, we post more than 1 deal a day as a bonus if we find oth­ers that are worth a post.

Div­ingList is also an unbi­ased place. We don’t have favorites (and play favorites), in terms of shop­ping or trav­el­ing because it’s ulti­mately up to you. We are just here to spread the dive deals.

What aspects of Scuba Div­ing do you cover?
Well, we cover all the basics of Scuba, any­where from scuba gear deals to dive trips to events to apparel etc. to list a few.

Do you really search stuff and post?
Yes, because every­one lost the idea of “Hand-picked” — most of the stuff online can be auto­mated which is a lot eas­ier. But for users like our­selves, we never know if it’s a scam. We go to each web­site, try it our­selves some times, make mis­takes, post our find­ings to share with you guys, and some times, we get good feed­back for doing it.

How do we get our news posted?
If you know how a lot­tery works, then you are game. We “hand-pick” our post every­day. How­ever, if you feel that your news is worth spread­ing to loyal DT read­ers, then e-mail us from the Con­tact page. We can­not guar­an­tee your news will be posted. Why? Because we need to make sure if it’s legit, in case you are one of those big com­pa­nies. Spam­ming us with news also will not help to be posted (more likely, you’ll be blocked), but we may take a can of Spam for lunch if you send it to us.

Because we have read­ers all over the world, we try to have a vari­ety of deals/websites listed if they are related to Scuba Diving.

Do we have to pay to get news posted?
As of Sep­tem­ber, 2009, we don’t accept “paid” entries. We might include this option as a part of our adver­tis­ing pack­age that will be released by the end of 2009. We just have to think about it.

Why do we ever do that and run an UNBIASED web­site… No, we don’t. We can afford a burger or two ourselves.
